Paint Correction & Ceramic Coating in Lafayette, LA

Most paint has swirls you only notice in the sun. We polish them out, then lock in the gloss with XPEL FUSION PLUS ceramic coating. Here’s how it works, and how to tell what your car needs.

// How it works

Three steps. In this order.

Technician foam-washing the front grille of a black Audi during decontamination prep

01 // Clean

Decontaminate

A foam pre-wash, iron fallout removal and bonded-contaminant removal take off everything stuck to the paint. Now we can see what’s really there.

02 // Correct

Polish out the swirls

We machine-polish the clear coat smooth, taking out swirls, light scratches and water spots until the paint reflects clean again. Each pass with the polisher is called a stage.

03 // Protect

Lock it in with a coating

XPEL FUSION PLUS bonds to the clear coat. Water beads off, washing gets faster, and the gloss stays.

Why polish before coating?

A coating is clear. It locks in whatever is under it, swirls included. Polishing first means the finish you lock in for years is the one you actually want to look at.

// What correction does

Same car. Same light.

Swirls show up as a spiderweb of fine circles around any bright light. This is what paint correction takes out.

Before

After

Look at your paint in direct sun, or hold a phone flashlight close to it. Fine circles around the light are swirls. The more you see, the more correction your paint needs.

// Why coat it

What the coating does for you

01 //

Water beads right off

The hydrophobic surface makes water bead up and roll away, and dirt, dust and mud slide off with it.

02 //

Easy to wash and dry

The slick finish cuts down the time you spend washing and drying, and the car stays cleaner between washes.

03 //

Deeper color and gloss

It brings out the depth in your paint and keeps a rich, high-gloss shine.

04 //

Guards against fading

UV protection and a barrier against the contaminants that cause fading, staining and oxidation.

// FAQ

Frequently
Asked
Questions

How do I know which level I need?

Look at the paint in direct sun or under a phone flashlight. A few light swirls on a newer car: Level II. Swirls you notice right away, or a car past 20,000 miles: Level III. Deep scratches or dull, faded paint: Level IV. Or send us photos and we’ll tell you.

Why not just coat it without polishing?

A coating is clear, so it locks in whatever is under it, swirls included. Polishing first means the finish you lock in is the one you want to look at. If your paint is new or near-perfect, Prep & Coat skips the polishing.

What is a ceramic coating, in plain English?

It’s a thin, transparent layer that chemically bonds to your clear coat, creating a slick, hydrophobic surface that’s easier to clean and more resistant to UV, staining, and light chemical etching.

Does ceramic coating eliminate the need to wash my car?

No—you’ll still wash, but it’s faster and easier because dirt and water don’t cling as much. Most owners notice shorter wash times and better “just washed” look between washes.

How long does it take?

A full detail takes 4–8 hours depending on the vehicle’s size and condition. Correction and coating packages take 1–3 days, plus cure time indoors.

Can I get paint correction without a coating?

Yes. Almost everyone coats after correcting so the finish stays protected, but we can polish on its own. Ask us for a quote.

How often should I have my car detailed?

We recommend a full detail every 4–6 months. It depends on how you drive and where the car is parked.
