Protect your investment and keep your vinyl wrap looking vibrant with these essential care tips:

Give your wrap time to cure—wait at least 7 days after installation before washing your vehicle.
Hand wash your vehicle using a gentle automotive soap and soft microfiber mitt. Rinse with clean water and dry immediately with a microfiber drying towel to prevent water spots.
If using a pressure washer, maintain at least 12 inches of distance and keep the pressure below 2,000 PSI. Use a 40-degree nozzle and never spray directly at seams, edges, or lifted areas.
Avoid automatic car washes with brushes, as they can catch edges and cause peeling or damage to the wrap.
Clean spills, bird droppings, and bug residue as soon as possible using warm soapy water. These contaminants can stain or damage the vinyl if left untreated.
For stubborn spots like tree sap or tar, use isopropyl alcohol on a microfiber cloth—test on a small area first and avoid excessive rubbing.
Park in shaded areas or use a car cover when possible. Extended exposure to direct sunlight and extreme heat can fade colors and reduce wrap longevity.
Do not use waxes, polishes, or cleaners containing petroleum distillates, as these can degrade the vinyl adhesive and finish.
Inspect edges and seams regularly. If you notice any lifting, contact a professional immediately to prevent further damage.

Ceramic Coating Care & Maintenance Guide

Ongoing Care
Using XPEL aftercare products when maintaining your coated surfaces will dramatically extend the life and performance of your FUSION PLUS Ceramic Coating. These products have been specifically formulated to work with ceramic coatings and will keep your vehicle looking newer, longer.

Washing Your Vehicle
For exterior maintenance, we recommend using XPEL Rinse Free Car Wash or XPEL Wash Solution weekly to prevent dirt and contaminant buildup. Always wash in shade or indirect light to avoid streaking and water spots. Start at the top and work your way down, saving the dirtiest areas for last to prevent spreading grime to cleaner sections. For enhanced shine, follow up with XPEL Detail Spray and XPEL Ceramic Boost.

For interior surfaces, use XPEL Interior Cleaner on leather, plastic, and non-fabric areas as needed. For fabric and upholstery, stick to vacuuming and a clean, dry microfiber cloth. Always test XPEL Interior Cleaner on a hidden area first and follow all product directions carefully.

Drying Technique
Thoroughly dry all exterior surfaces using a clean, soft microfiber towel or air blower immediately after washing. Never let your vehicle air-dry, as tap water contains minerals that can leave spots and deposits on your coating. XPEL Microfiber Towels are designed specifically for optimal water absorption. Use gentle patting motions rather than aggressive wiping.

Detailed Finishing
After washing and drying exterior surfaces, use XPEL Detail Spray to remove any remaining fingerprints or smudges on your protected surfaces. Paint Protection Film Care & Maintenance Guide

Keep your film in pristine condition by following these straightforward maintenance tips:

Allow a minimum of 48 hours after installation before washing your vehicle.
Clean bug splatter and other contaminants promptly using a dedicated film cleaning solution to prevent staining.
For tougher stains, apply 99% isopropyl alcohol carefully to the film only—avoid contact with your vehicle’s painted surfaces.
Apply XPEL Ceramic Boost regularly to maintain the film’s glossy finish and protective qualities. XPEL recommends at least once every 6 months; we suggest monthly for best results.
Minor scratches in the film will naturally disappear within 20-30 minutes at normal temperatures. To speed up the healing process or in cooler weather, gently pour warm water (around 120°F) over the scratched area.
When pressure washing, keep the spray nozzle away from the film’s edges to prevent lifting or damage.
A detailing clay bar can effectively remove embedded contaminants from gloss film such as XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS. (XPEL does not list clay bars in its care steps for STEALTH satin film.)

Automotive Window Film Care & Maintenance Guide

Your newly installed window film is built to last and maintain its pristine clarity for years to come. Here’s how to care for it properly:

After installation, you may notice some cloudiness or small water pockets beneath the film. This is completely normal and will gradually disappear as the application solution evaporates, typically within 7-10 days.
Give your window film time to fully cure before use. Depending on weather conditions, wait 1-5 days before lowering your windows or attempting to clean them.
For routine cleaning, simply use a soft microfiber cloth with water. If additional cleaning power is needed, choose a gentle glass cleaner that doesn’t contain ammonia.
Never use rough materials like scrubbing pads or abrasive cleaners, as these can scratch and damage your window film.

Windshield Protection Film Care & Maintenance Guide

Proper care will help your windshield film deliver maximum protection and maintain crystal-clear visibility. Your installation includes a complimentary bottle of XPEL WPF Restore, a protective coating to be applied at the 6-month mark for enhanced durability.

First 48 Hours

Allow the film to fully bond and cure by waiting at least 48 hours before washing your vehicle. We also recommend installing fresh, high-quality windshield wiper blades after your film installation.

Cleaning Your Vehicle

Manual Washing: Use a gentle car wash solution with a soft microfiber wash mitt for best results. Always rinse thoroughly.
Using a Pressure Washer: Maintain a minimum distance of 36 inches from the film surface. Use a 40-degree spray tip and avoid directing water at the film edges to prevent peeling.
Chemical Safety: Never use harsh chemicals, solvents, or rough cleaning materials that could compromise the film’s protective layer.
Drying Technique: Pat dry with a clean microfiber towel to prevent water spotting. Don’t allow your vehicle to air-dry in direct sun.

Removing Debris & Stains

Bug Residue & Bird Droppings: Clean these contaminants promptly to avoid staining. Use warm water mixed with pH-neutral soap. For quick spot cleaning, apply a waterless wash product to a microfiber cloth and wipe clean.
Sticky Substances (Sap & Tar): Mix equal parts water and isopropyl alcohol in a spray bottle. Spray onto a microfiber towel (not directly on the film) and gently wipe the affected spot.

Ongoing Maintenance

Routine Washing: Keep your windshield film clean with regular washing using appropriate automotive soap to preserve its appearance and clarity.
Skip the Wax: Don’t apply traditional car waxes, polishes, or products containing dyes, abrasives, or solvents to the film surface.

6-Month Coating Refresh

Protective Coating Renewal: After 6 months, apply XPEL WPF Restore protective coating spray to restore water-repelling properties and extend film life.
How to Apply:
1. Start with a completely clean, dry windshield.
2. Shake the coating bottle thoroughly.
3. Divide your windshield into 4 sections and apply a light mist to each section for complete coverage.
4. Using a fresh microfiber towel, spread and buff the coating until you achieve a clear, streak-free finish.

Cold Weather Precautions

Ice & Snow Removal: Never use metal scrapers or sharp objects that could scratch or puncture the film.

After installation, your window film may appear slightly hazy or show small water pockets. This is normal and will clear up as the installation solution evaporates typically within 1 week depending on climate and sun exposure.
Avoid cleaning your windows for at least 1 week after installation to allow the film to fully cure and adhere.

Regular Cleaning

Clean your window film using a soft, lint-free cloth or microfiber towel dampened with water. For best results, use a mild soap solution if needed.
You may use ammonia-free glass cleaners—check the label to ensure they don’t contain ammonia, vinegar, or harsh chemicals that can break down the film’s adhesive.
Wipe in straight, overlapping strokes rather than circular motions to avoid streaking.

What to Avoid

Never use abrasive materials like scrub pads, steel wool, or rough sponges that can scratch the film surface.
Avoid cleaners containing ammonia, bleach, vinegar, or abrasive compounds, as these will damage the film over time.
Don’t use razor blades, scrapers, or sharp objects to remove debris—these will permanently scratch the film.
Keep adhesive tapes, stickers, and suction cups off the film, as removing them may damage the surface.

Handling Issues

If you notice any bubbles, peeling edges, or separation after the curing period, contact a professional installer for evaluation and repair.
For stubborn spots or residue, dampen a microfiber cloth with water and gently rub the area—avoid excessive pressure.
